I am a Canadian photographer based in the Niagara Region, Ontario. I have had a camera in my hands for 20 years, however in the few years I have been shooting professionally I have covered weddings throughout Canada and the United States. My modern approach to wedding photography combines a photo journalistic feel with both a classic and couture style, creating unique images found no where else.
Currently I am accepting only 12 commissions per year allowing me to give incomparable attention to each and every client I work with. Each client will receive their own unique collection showcasing the emotions captured from the bridal preparations to the first dance. No two collections are alike, as no two weddings are alike.
I am currently available exclusively throughout Canada, but also accepting select international destinations. For more information, please contact me to set up a consultation to tailor a package specific to your needs.
I shoot fully digital, exclusively with Canon Cameras & Lenses.
Two weekends ago I had the pleasure of shooting Jen+Matt’s engagement party at the Quality Inn Parkway Convention Center in St. Catharines. Jen and I have a few connections, being that she was in a wedding I shot last May, her brother is one of my good friends, and her parents live around the corner from mine. Jen and her mom decorated the hall and it looked absolutely stunning, better than some weddings I have seen. Before the families were allowed in the hall though, we had to do some formal (and not so formal) portraits, check’em out.
Well, Max decided yesterday that he was going to start chowin’ down on some cookies. I don’t know about you but this video makes me want to run out and get a bag of Oreos and a nice big glass ‘o milk. I decided to shoot this on my iPhone and I have to tell you, I’m pretty impressed with the quality, I do plan on getting a FlipHD though very soon.
On the weekend I held the very first “OCF Bootcamp” at the Riverbend Inn in Niagara on the Lake. The purpose of the class was to give students both the information they needed to learn about Off Camera Flash as well as providing them with real life situations in which it could be used. We started off with a great opportunity to shoot some amazing cars at The Autodream Group in Niagara Falls, then onto some Brides + Grooms, models and some food. I would like to send a special thanks out to our b+g’s that got all dolled up for the event (stef + jack & mel & cam) they were awesome. Also a big thanks to Sarah & Laura, as well as my assistant Steve for stepping in and being our models for the second day. To Jay & Adrien from Jay Films, thanks for coming, I can’t wait to see the video. Lastly a big thank you to the Riverbend Inn, their staff, owners, and head chef for allowing us to take over the grounds for 2 days. To all the people who attended, thank you so much, with out guys there obviously would not have been a bootcamp. So as promised, here are a few of my favourites, most shot by me, one or two by others on my camera (obviously the ones with me in the photo).
Monday in Ontario brought family day, which usually means a nice relaxing day, but not this year. The Niagara IceDogs had their annual season ticket holder skate, along with their skills competition and knowing that I would be hosting the skills portion, we decided to get Lucas out on skates for the first time. The only pictures we grabbed of Lucas and Myself were from family (along with some video) so unfortunately you won’t see any here. However, I did get a few shots from the skills competition. Check them out below.
Some more hockey from the last week. London and Windsor were both in town for games against the IceDogs. The boys played a solid game against the Knights coming away with a 2-1 victory over one of the top 10 teams in the nation. The next game they didn’t fair as well dropping a 5-2 decision to the Spitfires who are currently ranked #3 in Canada. The dogs fell behind by 4 goals early in the third so I decided to have a little fun with my camera and try to get shots that aren’t the norm for a hockey game. As you scroll down past the images, you will start to see a some B+W images, which are the ones I am talking about. Family Day is this coming Monday which means the IceDogs will be holding their annual season ticket holder skate and skills comp. Should be a blast, lots of good angles to work with, and Lucas will also be making his first appearance on skate (hopefully)
